HLTAID003 First Aid (also known as Senior first aid or Level 2 first aid)
1 Day Includes : CPR and Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
This is the current government approved course and the generalist first aid course that employers in Australia require. HLTFA301B, HLTFA301C, HLTFA311A have now all been superseded.

This 2-hour course covers skills and knowledge required to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to Australian Resuscitation Council Guidelines. HLTAID001 is the most current nationally accredited unit of competency.

HLTAID004 Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting

This course is suitable for anyone working in long day care, family day care, preschool and outside of school hours (OOSH) care services.

* compliance with first aid sections of the Education and Care
* Services National Law and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011).
* incident reporting in a child care setting
* child physiology
* how to properly assess an emergency situation

* first aid procedures for bleeding, burns and fractures
* managing medical conditions such as epilepsy
* managing medical emergencies such as snake/spider bites, poisons and
