Westfund - Australia

Westfund is a BAD CHOICE if you are a DIABETIC ON AN INSULIN PUMP. They will not replace or update it if it is out warranty, their reasoning is it is not faulty. I even asked the question re replacement before I changed health funds and was told that they will be replace it when out of warranty. They are too difficult to get a straight answer out of and information keeps on changing. Westfund is happy to pay for Gym memberships to loose weight & stop smoking programs, but as an insulin dependant Diabetic they will do there best NOT TO PAY FOR A PUMP. At the end of the day they are interested in PROFITS not prevention of complications or offering the best coverage possible. So sorry I changed to this fund from a fund which has no problems in updating an insulin pump when it was out of warranty.
